Lauren is 19 months old today!

Happy 19 months old baby girl! You only have 10 more sleeps until your Mommy and Daddy (and Grammy Dee) come to get you.

Itinerary

We received our itinerary this week. To finally see the day that Lauren will be placed in our arms was overwhelming. We are beyond excited and can't wait.

9/4 Beijing - tour Tian An Men Square, Forbidden City, Olympic Park and climb The Great Wall.
9/5 Fly to Wuhan
9/6 GOTCHA DAY! This is the day that Lauren will be placed in our arms.
9/7 paperwork
9/8 Visit Yellow Crane Tower
9/9 Visit Provincial Museum
9/10 Fly to Guangzhou
9/11 Medical Exam and more paperwork
9/12 Shamian Island for Sunday Sermon
9/13 City Tour
9/14 City Tour
9/15 Free
9/16 US Consulate to take oath
9/17 bus to Hong Kong
9/18 leave Hong Kong, arrive in Louisville at 4:30 pm

Lauren's room and Flight Schedule

Lauren's room still in progress. The border is out of stock so if it doesn't become available in the next week, we will paint a red stripe separating the two colors with black spots sparingly.



Our flight schedule is:

9/2 leave Louisville at 11:10 am, arrive Detroit at 12:43 pm
9/2 leave Detroit at 3:30 pm, arrive Tokyo at 5:25 pm on 9/3
9/3 leave Tokyo at 7:20 pm, arrive Beijing at 10:30 pm

We do not have our in-country itinerary yet.

9/18 leave Hong Kong at 9:15 am, arrive Detroit at 12:10 pm
9/18 leave Detroi at 3:15 pm, arrive Louisville at 4:36 pm

We know of 1 family from our agency that will be meeting up with us at Detroit. I'm told they are flying from Pittsburgh.

God is so good! To think we saw our daughter's face just 52 days ago and we have already made flight arrangements makes me speachless. We're so blessed.

We have CA and booked our flights!

We are leaving 9/2 and returning 9/18. Our gotcha day should be 9/5. Our CA date is 9/15/10. We are so excited! We did buy Lauren a seat to come back. We had debated just buying a lap seat. We also get to check-in a bag if she has a ticket as well. My mom is also going with us. We are all so excited.

There seems to be some confusion on her Chinese name. We thought her first name was Yun and Niu as her last name. The travel agent argued with Chad today that Yun was her last name. I'm a little nervous that I messed up the paperwork. I'm calling the agency tomorrow.

24 sleeps until China!!!!

Passports in hand!

Friday afternoon we received our passports with our Visa for China! Felt so good to get those back especially after receiving our TA. Just waiting for our CA date.

Please continue to pray for Lauren's health and safety. I continue to ask God to send His angels to her and protect her and her foster family.

We received our Travel Approval!!!!!

Our adoption agency just called me and he was quite surprised that we received so soon. I told him we have been praying and praying! He will call me next week with the CA date. He is hoping for us to leave 9/2. Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!! I am so excited...I can barely stand it!
